1965 Shelby AC Cobra 427 Replica This isn't your average Factory Five Cobra! This car was meticulously built by an aircraft mechanic with particular attention to detail. You won't find another one like it! The aluminum parts were anodized to prevent corrosion (common in many engine compartments from humidity). Cobra Halibrand wheels were used to maintain the original Cobra appeal. The interior is simple and authentic looking. The vinyl dash is laid out with simple gauges and switches along with the classy wooden AC Cobra steering wheel. Black carpet lines the inside of the car and the trunk. The forward set shift rod keeps the classic Cobra style and gives the interior a great racing flair. The drivers side floor was recessed to allow room for your feet to comfortably reach the pedals. A heater box was installed and takes the edge off on those cool fall nights. Be prepared to turn heads everywhere you go! The aggressive stance and low engine rumble definitely make a statement! The drivetrain is a Ford 302ci 5.0L engine connected to a 5-speed T-5 transmission. The engine has been equipped with a Pro-Charger Super Charger and several other upgrades such as an MSD ignition system, larger injectors, mass airflow and intake. The car is over 300hp at the rear wheels but is as reliable as your daily driver. Unlike your carbureted big block, this can sit in traffic all day without chocking up, stalling or overheating. Disc brakes and a front coil over suspension help to keep the car on the road! Although I've never used it I also have a complete soft top for the car along with a cockpit cover and car cover.
